Georgina has begun taking groups of students to Heatherlee restaurant on Friday to help improve lifeskills and give necessary movement breaks to the third year students.
LFL 2 had a great trip exploring Patrick Street and all the great shops and sights there. We came home before we spent too much money.
Cheerios Breakfast - Every year a great breakfast is provided by the hard workers in LFL 2. This year the food included bread rolls, cheerios and orange juice or blood! They raised a whopping €200 FOR Childline.
MS Readathon - The LFL 1 & 2 classes are taking part in the MS Readathon initiative. They will record all the books that they read onver the next few weeks and months.
Buddy Walk - As part of our Health Promoting School plan the Buddies take part in a walk every Tuesday lunchtime in the Spraoi Centre.

Season Kicks Off
Under 18 football team travelled to Limerick's University pitches where they won three out of three matches.
Mr. Motherways first year class (1C) went to St. Peter's Church and North Main Street to learn about Cork and find Shapes in the city. Can you see the rectangle shape and the cylinder?
All our basketballers that were selected visited Tralee for the annual competition. Lots of them returned with medals and even the MVP trophy. Congratulation and well done to all who took part.
The Debs ball took place in March in the Siversprings Clayton Hotel. All the 5th and 6th year students had a great evening of fun, food and dance.
Munster won the Inter Provincial matches in Dublin. 4 of our students were on the team. Well done to all.
Some Things to know.
There are three new teachers, Ms. Horgan in first year, Ms. Halligan in second year and Ms. Bastable in Home Economics.
Students are getting ready for exams and starting their projects.
The school choir is now on a Monday afternoon.
Under 15 sports activities are on Wednesdays instead of Mondays.

Easter Egg Hunt: Once again every student in the school on the day took part in or received an easter egg as a celebration.
Seachtain na Gaeilge- Bain an Scoil an taitneamh as an Ceili mor agus Trath na gCeist.
Food Dudes was excellent with 90% of students taking part and trying healthy snacks.
First years have been working on the Make A Book project. It is about the Stadia of Cork. They visited pairc Ui Chaoimh and interviewed Cork star Amy O'Connor.
LFL 1 have started to work on their short course "Where am I from? Where am I going?".

Snow covers Scoil Bernadette
When the Beast from the East met Storm Emma it led to a great snowball fight and the arrival of Snow Angels to our school. Luckily our photographer was on hand to capture the day.
Class 1K Assembly news
Every student talked about their favourite subject in Scoil Bernadette. The most popular subjects chosen were Woodwork, Science, Home Economics and Art.
Football was also mentioned by a few and the trips to Tralee and Port Laoise for the football.
John Spillane visited our school to rehearse and sing with the choir at the Cope Foundation anniversary concert.
The winner of Scoil Bernadette X Factor 2018 practising at assembly last September. Well, his hard work really paid off!
